Sting! is a horror show disguised as a painting show. In a world saturated with information, images, videos and sound, the mind can easily become overwhelmed to a point of exhaustion and numbness. The tired mind endlessly loops between past decisions and future anxieties, helplessly replaying scenarios that cannot be controlled. A constant fatigue hums in the background, preventing the mind from being present. Yet, a buzz, a jolt, a sting! pierces through the fog. By attempting to recreate Youn’s own unsettling experience of being attacked by a wasp in the middle of the night, Sting! aims to call the viewers into the present moment.
